Green Eggs and Ham

My secret to sanity, because yes, being a stay at home mom has driven even some of the most passionate mothers to the brink of insanity, is simple, celebrate everything.  We throw lots of silly, for no real reason parties.  Even if they are just for me and the girls it's something special for us all to look forward to.

There is a fine line between "keeping myself busy" during a deployment and stressing myself out with taking on too much.  I don't want to be board or overcommitment.  This made me chuckle the other day,

Pretty much.

Out of the house excitement with three little girls can get overwhelming in seconds so we have been doing a lot of  projects at home.  Claire's birthday is in the summer so we never get to send cupcakes and goodie bags for her.  She loves birthdays so I asked her teacher if we could send stuff for Dr. Seuss's birthday.

 Huge hit!!

One fish
two fish
red fish
blue fish

 Today you are you,
that is truer than true.
There is no one alive
who is youer than you.
(I just loved this Dr. Seuss quote for Claire's class.
There are some amazing, unique, adorable kid-os in there.)
Clarie does love Green Eggs and Ham

Makenna didn't want to miss out on the fun so we had a little party today with our friend Silas who is staying for the weekend and Piper, Claire's favorite friend.

Play dough hair for thing 1 and thing 2

Makenna and Silas are hilarious together!

Reading some Dr. Seuss

Green eggs and Ham with Cat in the Hat pancakes for lunch
