Bowling With a Knee Brace

Family fun night this week was bowing on the base.  Normally bowling isn't the most Claire-friendly activity but the base is not very busy = not too loud.  She does love bowling and cheers for everyone, it's really cute!

They always make me nervous with the balls.  A broken toe is the last thing we need right now.  I say "be careful" a lot.

We use the ramp which seems to be a good thing.

Lots of high fives!

Bowling is a lot of waiting your turn so the girls know they have to "sit on a dot" when it is not their turn.

We got the custom made knee brace but it came in too long.  What do you do?  It is extremely problematic with going to the bathroom as you can see.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do about school. It is not easy to put on and take off and requires a trained adult, sigh.

She is getting around well with it and it isn't popping.  I'm sure she doesn't mind it or she would rip that thing right off, it's so accessible.

It has a hinge and bends very easily with her knee but doesn't allow the knee to drop in like she was doing.

  1. Ugh. Seriously? They took measurements right? You should tell them they need to figure it out. Maybe they can cut it down right there at Thompsons? I would be really annoyed. I am glad she isn't minding it though...means its helping!
